1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Word-a-Day ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Word-a-Day is a daily vocabulary game available on multiple platforms including Farcaster and X. Users learn a new word each day and are challenged to use it in a post. Posts are evaluated by AI for mastery, authenticity, and originality.

3. Eligibility

You must have an account on a supported platform (such as Farcaster or X) to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements and that you are using the Service for personal, non-commercial, entertainment and educational purposes.

4. User Content

When you participate in daily challenges, your public posts are analyzed by the Service for scoring purposes. You retain ownership of all content you create. By participating in challenges, you grant us permission to read, analyze, and store your public posts for scoring and to display your username and scores on leaderboards.

5. App Coin and Token Requirements

The Service may require users to hold a minimum balance of a specified ERC-20 token to participate in certain gameplay features or daily challenges. This token is an app coin used solely as an access and gameplay mechanic within the Service. Viewing daily words is always free regardless of token holdings.

The Service and its token are not investment products, do not provide any ownership, profit-sharing, or governance rights, and do not promise or imply any financial return. You should not acquire or use any token with an expectation of profit.

Token requirements, including the specific token and minimum balance, may change at any time. We do not guarantee any value, utility, or availability of any token, and we make no promises regarding future features, benefits, or outcomes associated with holding any token.

6. AI Scoring

Scores are generated by AI and are provided for entertainment and educational purposes. Scoring criteria and algorithms may change at any time. We do not guarantee the accuracy, fairness, or consistency of AI-generated scores. Scores, rankings, and outcomes have no financial meaning and should not be interpreted as having monetary value.

7. Prizes, Perks, and In-Game Rewards

From time to time, the Service may offer prizes, perks, badges, cosmetic features, or other in-game benefits based on participation, performance, streaks, or special challenges. These are provided for entertainment and community engagement purposes only.

Prizes, perks, and rewards are not guaranteed, are not predictable, may vary in type or value, and may be changed or discontinued at any time. No rewards are provided simply for holding a token, and no rewards should be understood as financial returns, yield, or profit.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Manipulate or game the scoring system
• Submit duplicate or plagiarized content
• Submit repetitive or templated content designed to game the scoring system
• Use AI-generated text as your submission
• Attempt to bypass token requirements or other access controls
• Use automated tools to submit posts on your behalf
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service

9. Fair Play and Leaderboard Eligibility

To maintain a fair and competitive environment, we monitor submissions for patterns that undermine genuine participation, including but not limited to repetitive templates, formulaic responses, duplicated content, or patterns consistent with automated generation.

Players whose submissions exhibit these patterns may, at our discretion, be excluded from leaderboard rankings and reward eligibility. Leaderboard placement and rewards are not guaranteed and are subject to these fair play standards.

Exclusion from leaderboard eligibility does not prevent continued participation in the game or receipt of daily scores.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. The Service, including any tokens, scores, prizes, perks, or features, is offered for entertainment and educational purposes only. We do not guarantee the availability, functionality, or value of any token, feature, or reward. We are not responsible for any losses related to token holdings, token transactions, or changes in token value. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service, any gameplay features, token requirements, or any prizes or perks at any time, with or without notice.

11. No Financial Advice

Nothing in the Service constitutes financial, investment, or legal advice. You are solely responsible for any decisions you make regarding tokens or digital assets.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
