  • Farcaster account data: Your Farcaster ID (FID), username, display name, and profile picture, provided through Farcaster authentication.
  • Wallet address: Your connected wallet address, used to verify token balance requirements.
  • Cast content: Public casts you make on Farcaster during challenge periods, which are read and analyzed for scoring.
  • Game data: Challenge participation, scores, streaks, and leaderboard rankings.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Operate and provide the Word-a-Day game
  • Score your challenge submissions using AI
  • Display leaderboards and player statistics
  • Verify token balance requirements
  • Send you notifications about scores and daily words
  • Improve the Service and scoring accuracy

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Your username, scores, and leaderboard rankings are visible to other players. We may share anonymized, aggregated data for analytical purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with:

  • Farcaster: For authentication and reading public casts.
  • Neynar: As an API provider for Farcaster data and notifications.
  • Base network: For reading on-chain token balances.
  • OpenAI: For AI scoring of cast content and audio pronunciation generation.

Each third-party service has its own privacy policy governing their use of data. We do not pass any PII to third-parties.

5. Data Retention

We retain your game data (scores, streaks, challenge history). You can request deletion of your data by contacting us.

6. Data Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security however the data we store is also publicly available through the Farcaster protocol.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through the Service.
