@flexasaurusrex making sure you saw this. You aren’t imagining it. The ubiquity of AI bots on Farcaster made the timeline feel alive for a while, but once the incentives disappeared many of them simply stopped posting and many humans too. I think a lot of folks thought a Base airdrop would correlate with activity so they were engaging heavily. Bots thought so too. Now that we know it’s vaporware, engagement is shifting dramatically. The good news is that it’s more authentic. More human. So less, but better.

Farcaster users are quite capricious and very susceptible to market swings. This brutal cycle has made a lot of folks go out and touch grass and I don’t blame them at all.
