Aerodrome still feels like the actual DeFi backbone on Base Over 180M AERO already bought back and locked, more than 457M distributed to veAERO holders, numbers fluctuate but the usage stays real, this thing is actually being used Cross chain is starting to feel real too, Solana bridge has been live for a while, SPL tokens moving into Base and back out without too much friction, not perfect but finally practical Base App itself is slowly turning into one place for everything, posting, trading, chatting, earning, fees are low enough that you actually stop thinking about them Still, not everything is solved, decentralization is not there yet, sequencer is still a weak point and full distribution is pushed to 2026, so it makes sense to stay a bit wary What is interesting is what people actually use, Aerodrome and Aave for liquidity and lending, activity may fluctuate but interest is clearly there, AI stuff like A0x and AI Agent Arena popping up, even domains with 3DNS, feels messy but alive
